Meet Arielle

Arielle Roberts is a New York–based actor, singer, songwriter, and writer originally from Houston, Texas. She holds a BFA in Theatre with an Acting emphasis from Texas Christian University. A versatile artist who seamlessly moves across live theatre, screen, and voiceover work, Arielle also writes for film and television and performs as a recording and gigging artist under the moniker Manuka Hunny.

Arie, as her family calls her, has proud roots in the island of Dominca. Going from District Champion wrestler to theatre kid in the latter half of high school, Arielle is someone who has never been afraid to be bold in her choices and uncompromising in her work ethic, gravitating toward others that also like breaking the mold.

Arielle is passionate about promoting understanding and human connection, which she loves to do through her art. She desires participation in projects that inspire, that have never been done before, that learn from the past, and that encourage people to embrace their inner child. She has a dream to produce and be a part of projects that promote afrofuturism and strong— especially physically—women on screen.

Some people’s primary “love language” is physical touch or gift giving— hers is music. She’s currently learning the sexiest instrument to ever exist (bass guitar) and enjoys a wide array of genres, but you'll mostly catch her wherever there is funk, jazz, and soul. She takes great inspiration from artists like Prince, Chaka Khan, Lianne LaHavas, Ella Fitzgerald, Kenny Loggins, and Thundercat.
